Launching National Standards for Accrediting the Programs for the Colleges and Institutes of Health and Medical Technology

The Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research has launched the national standards for accrediting the programs of colleges and institutes of health and medical technologies in Iraqi universities.

Throughout his word in the ceremony in The College of Health and Medical Technologies at the Central Technical University, in the presence of specialists in the field of quality and accreditation, Dr. Salah Al-Fatlawi stated the Scientific Supervision and Evaluation Authority was able to complete nine national councils for accreditation in various disciplines, pointing out at the same time that the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research places within its strategy attention to medical technical education because of its importance that affects the life of the citizen and achieves the highest levels of community service.  

In turn, the President of the National Council for Accrediting the Programs of Colleges and Institutes of Health and Medical Technology, Dr. Shukria Shadhan Al-Aqili, explained that the completion of the national standards file for the accreditation of health and medical technology colleges and institutes came with joint efforts of professors and specialists in the technical field. These efforts resulted in the adoption of basic standards that focused on updating curricula and developing technological resources. For technical information, noting that the council is working hard to provide support to universities in program accreditation in order to contribute to the quality of outputs in accordance with the requirements of the labor market.
