A lecturer in the Department of biology (Prof. Dr. Alaa Abdul-Hussain Karim Al-Daami) published a paper entitled (Isolation and Diagnosis of Fungal Isolates Producing Antimicrobial Agents from Petroleum Soil), which was published in the International Journal of Pharmaceutical Research. Where the research study aimed to isolate and diagnose fungi from soil contaminated with hydrocarbons and investigate their ability to produce substances with effective anti-bacterial and yeast activity, identify the most efficient ones, and test them on clinical isolates of bacteria and yeasts.
