A lecturer in the Department of biology (Professor Liqaa Hassoun Sakban) published a paper titled (Association of Polymorphisms for Candidate Genes in Iraqi Chronic Kidney Patients), which was published in the Journal of Advanced Biotechnology and Experimental Therapeutics. The paper summarized the study of the relationship between five single nucleotide polymorphisms (SNPs): rs1126616, rs35068180, rs1800247, rs4236, and rs2248359 with the risk of developing chronic kidney disease among Iraqi patients.
