A Lecturer from the Department of Biology Publishes a Scientific Article on Pollution and the Most Important Way to Get Rid of it

Scientific Article

The lecturer in the College of Education for Pure Sciences/Department of Chemistry, Professor Dr. (Munir Abdel-Aali Abbas) obtained the acceptance to publish a scientific article tagged with the title (Pollution and the most important way to get rid of it) by the Scientific Articles Committee at the Presidency of Karbala University after the article fulfilled all publication conditions. (Prof. Dr. Munir Abdel-Aali Abbas) stated that the process of disrupting the natural balance of the environment, which affects the lives of living organisms, is called (environmental pollution). In the present era, man faces a big problem that requires the concerted efforts of all to reduce and treat it, which is Environmental pollution, the problem increases the danger of man, who has a clear role in increasing these risks through his various activities that threaten human life. The proper management of hazardous waste is an integral part of protecting soil, air, and water from pollution. Sound environmental management of hazardous materials includes appropriate handling and storage practices that reduce risks to people and reduce waste generation. Environmental pollution is one of the most serious problems for humanity, and for other life forms today on our planet. Water and soil pollutants threaten the ability of farmers to produce the food necessary to feed the world population, and marine pollutants also threaten many marine organisms. Water pollution is also every change in the natural characteristics of water by adding foreign substances that cause it to disturb it or give it an odor, color, or taste, and microbes may be a source of pollution. Dissolved organic or inorganic, or minute substances such as bacteria, algae, or parasites, which leads to a change in its natural, chemical, or biological properties, making the water unsuitable for drinking and domestic consumption, as well as not suitable for use in agriculture or industry, and the pollution of the aquatic environment It has a close relationship with the industrial expansion of the population in the world, especially those located at the shores of the seas and oceans, which results in a loss of control and control over the waste that is thrown into the water. Freshwater pollution is a major cause of disease and death in most of the developing world, and there are two types of water pollution, the natural pollution of water and it is expressed by pollution that changes the natural properties of water, making it unsuitable for use, by changing its temperature or salinity, or by By increasing suspended substances, whether of organic or inorganic origin, and chemical pollution of water, which is one of the most important and most serious problems facing humans and the environment because chemically polluted water has a toxic effect due to the presence of industrial waste, as it contains heavy metals and dyes, for example, which are substances Very dangerous chemical.
