A Panel Discussion at the College of Education for Pure Sciences on the Use of a Natural Nano-Chitosan Polymer Superimposed with Some Drugs to Inhibit Cancer Cells

Panel Discussion

The Department of Chemistry at the College of Education for Pure Sciences/University of Karbala held a discussion panel entitled (Using a natural nano-chitosan polymer superimposed with some drugs to inhibit cancer cells), which was given by a master’s student (Alia Hussein Abbas).
The seminar aimed to prepare and characterize the natural chitosan nanopolymer by FT-IR, 1H-NMR, AFM and TEM techniques. And the preparation of new nano drugs by loading the chitosan nanopolymer with different drugs (cephalexin, mefenamic acid, paracetamol) diagnosed using infrared techniques, 1H-NMR, and studying some properties of common nano drugs such as: solubility and drug release. In addition to studying the possibility of using nanopolymer drugs known for their use in preventing and treating the rapid spread of breast cancer. The seminar was attended by the Assistant Dean for Administrative Affairs, Head of the Chemistry Department, and a number of professors, teaching staff and graduate students.
