College of Education for Pure Sciences Holds a Panel Discussion on the Study of Removing Toxic Dyes Using a New Surface

Panel Discussion

Department of Chemistry at the College of Education for Science held a panel discussion entitled (Studying the removal of toxic dyes using a new surface), delivered by a master’s student (Ali Hussein Jafat). Where the discussion aimed at removing some toxic dyes from their aqueous solutions using a new adsorbent surface, and studying the best conditions for removing the dyes under study, which are the dye concentration (adsorbent substance), temperature, acidity function, mass and volume of the adsorbent surface, adsorption time, and the study of isotherms. Adsorption, study of conformity of adsorption isotherms with (Tenn, Freindlich, Landmeyer) model of adsorption, study of thermodynamics of adsorption process and finding values of ∆G, ∆S, ∆H for adsorption process. The discussion was attended by the head of the Chemistry Department and a number of professors and master’s students.
