Department of Life Sciences, College of Education for Pure Sciences, University of Karbala, held a scientific symposium entitled (Public Health as a Concept), delivered by Prof. Dr. Esraa Nasser Ghulam. The symposium aimed to define the World Health Organization as: a state of complete physical, psychological and social fitness or competence, and not merely the absence of disability or disease, in addition to introducing the audience to the importance of knowing the concept of correct public health, knowledge of levels and elements of public health, and an explanation of the factors that affect health. the public.
The lecture recommended intensifying holding seminars and lectures to clarify the importance of public health, and making special brochures and posters showing the concept of public health as student activities. The symposium was attended by the head of the Department of Life Sciences and a number of professors and lecturers.
