Assist. Prof. Dr. Basim Karim Khudair, an academic lecturer in the Department of Mathematics in the College of Education for Pure Sciences, got an application for his research, which is entitled (Using the Generalized Operational Lager Matrix of Kabuto Partial Derivatives to Solve Some Types of Optimal Partial Control Problems) in the Arab Journal of Mathematical Sciences, an international scientific journal, which is one of the dependable scientific journals and is included in the Scopus Classification Group for International Scientific Journals.
The research aimed to develop a new numerical solution method for optimal partial control problems (FOCPs) based on generalized Laguerre polynomials. The generalized Laguerre operational matrix of Kabuto partial derivatives was derived. The operational matrix with orthogonal Laguerre polynomial properties was used to reduce FOCPs to a system of algebraic equations by the direct method. Five examples are included to demonstrate the efficiency and accuracy of numerical algorithms for some classes of FOCPs.
