Discussion of a master’s thesis

The Department of Biology Sciences at the College of Education for Pure Sciences discussed the master’s thesis entitled (The effect of adding auxin (IAA) and chelated nano-zinc on the tolerance of wheat plant Triticum aestivum L. to salt stress), by student Farah Nasr Shaya Abdul Masoudi, on Wednesday 26/5/2021. , and under the supervision of Prof. Dr. Qais Hussein Abbas Al-Sammak, and the goal of the thesis was, the effect of adding oxygen to the leaves of the wheat plant in increasing its production under different levels of salinity, and the effect of adding nano-chelated zinc to the leaves of the wheat plant in increasing its tolerance, growth and production under different levels of salinity, and the nature of the effect Interfering with auxin and chelated zinc nanoparticles in growth, productivity and tolerance of wheat plant for irrigation with saline water. The study concluded that spraying with auxin hormone achieved a positive significant effect on some phenotypic growth traits, yield traits and physiological growth indicators. The levels of spraying with different levels of nano-chelated zinc led to an increase in most of the phenotypic growth characteristics, yield characteristics and physiological growth indicators. The increase in salinity levels of irrigation water led to a decrease in most of the growth phenotypic and yield characteristics. The study also showed that most of the bilateral interactions between the study factors had a significant effect on most phenotypic traits, yield, its components and physiological growth traits. The study also showed a significant effect of the triple overlap between the study factors on all the studied traits of the wheat plant. And the student got the appreciation for excellence.
