The Department of Life Sciences at the College of Education for Pure Sciences / University of Karbala held a training course entitled (The Use of RFLP Technology in Diagnosing Diseases), which was given by Prof. Zainab Nizar Jawad and Prof. Heba Alwan Abdel Salam, on Wednesday 3/2/2021, at the hall of the late Professor Hussein Ali Abdul Latif, and the aim of the course was to introduce the RFLP technology, which is one of the most important genetic diagnostic techniques that are used to analyze vital recipes in the genome – the genetic code of the individual and how Changing cells from their genes as proteins by applying molecular biology to medical tests. This technique is used to diagnose and review symptoms of disease risk detection, in addition to determining the optimal treatment according to the individual case of the patient. This test is useful in a range of medical specialties including infectious diseases, tumors, coagulation and pharmacogenomics, which are used to predict the best use of drugs, use cutting enzymes that act on the DNA molecule and see if the two pieces of DNA are similar and then use the method.
