The Department of Biology Sciences at the College of Education for Pure Sciences held a training course entitled (The effect of agricultural circles on isolating and diagnosing fungi), which was given by Prof. Dr. Ban Taha Muhammad and lecturer. intidhar Jabbar Muhammad, on Monday 11/1/2021, and the aim of the course was to introduce the agricultural circles used in the development, diagnosis, examination and maintenance of fungi, and the lecture also dealt with the types of agricultural circles according to their composition and according to their physical properties and the specificity of their work in obtaining a certain type of Fungi or yeasts alone. The session showed that the best way to prepare agricultural circles and the purpose of sterilizing them, how to deal with laboratory sterilization devices and the appropriate time to perform them properly, and the lecture referred to the definition of the process of pouring dishes if the medium is solid, or the use of glass tubes or plastic containers if the medium is liquid according to the purpose The purpose of the study. The course also included a brief explanation of the mechanism of action of the natural agricultural circles and how to manipulate its components from addition or deletion in order to reach the appropriate environment for the growth of specialized fungi. At the end of the session, the attendees were thanked for their constructive interaction in the success of the session and the registration of cases of scientific benefit. The session was attended by the Head of the Life Sciences Department and a number of the department’s professors and instructors.
