About the Department of Chemistry

Introduction to chemistry and its objectives

The chemistry department was established in 2008 at the University of Karbala as one of the strict scientific departments in the Faculty of Education to meet the country’s need for quality competence in chemistry to work in the fields of teaching in secondary schools. The curriculum is parallel to the curricula of the Faculty of Education Ibn al-Haytham / University of Baghdad with emphasis on the practical side The duration of the study in the primary stage is four years. After graduating, the student receives the first degree (Bachelor of Science in Chemistry). In the four years of study, the focus is on the basics of chemistry and adjunctive sciences, as well as emphasis on psychological and human lessons for their importance in preparing the good teacher in society. The fourth stage student is more specialized in chemistry by preparing research projects that qualify the student to use the library in modern ways To teach the secondary school by sending it to the application to be confronted with the scientific life and follow up the department to him.
