{"id":6137,"date":"2022-07-04T11:08:56","date_gmt":"2022-07-04T08:08:56","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/ceps.uokerbala.edu.iq\/wp\/en\/?p=6137"},"modified":"2022-07-04T11:09:01","modified_gmt":"2022-07-04T08:09:01","slug":"chemistrys-department-discusses-a-masters","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/ceps.uokerbala.edu.iq\/wp\/en\/2022\/07\/04\/chemistrys-department-discusses-a-masters\/","title":{"rendered":"Chemistry&#8217;s Department Discusses a Master&#8217;s"},"content":{"rendered":"<h2 dir=\"ltr\" style=\"text-align: center\"><strong><span style=\"color: #0000ff\">Discussion of a Master&#8217;s Thesis<\/span><\/strong><\/h2>\n<h4 dir=\"ltr\" style=\"text-align: center\"><br \/><span style=\"color: #0000ff\">The Department of Chemistry at the College of Education for Pure Sciences discussed a master\u2019s thesis by the student (Ali Hussein Jafat) on Monday, 27\/6\/2022, about his thesis entitled (Study of the removal of Safranin and Methyl Red dyes from their aqueous solutions by adsorption on Iraqi porcelain rocks and their axis shape), under the supervision of Prof. Dr. (Mounir Abdel-Aali Abbas Al-Damai).<\/span><br \/><span style=\"color: #0000ff\"><strong>The study aimed at the possibility of using Iraqi porcelain rocks and their axial shape (picolinate-melamine-formaldehyde polymer) in removing MethylRed and Safranin dyes from their aqueous solutions and studying the best conditions for the removal process represented by (contact time, amount of surface adsorbent, the weight of adsorbent, pH, temperature, and ionic strength.\u00a0 then calculating the thermodynamic functions of the removal process (the enthalpy of the removal process \u2206H, the entropy of the removal process \u2206S, and the compressive energy of the removal process \u2206G), as well as the study of the adsorption isotherms and their applicability with the Lankemeier, Freundlich equations. In conclusion, after extensive scientific discussion and listening to the student\u2019s defense of his message, his research method, and his use of sources and references, the thesis was approved with a grade of (excellent).<\/strong><\/span><br \/><span style=\"color: #0000ff\">Congratulations to the student for this achievement, to the College of Education for Pure Sciences, to the University of Karbala, and more creativity in the service of our beloved Iraq, the Iraq of science and scholars.
