The Minister of Higher Education Meets the Ambassador of the United States of America  to Discuss the Scientific Cooperation 

The Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, Prof. Dr. Nabil Kazem Abdel-Saheb, received the US Ambassador to Iraq, Mrs. Alina Romanowski, and her accompanying delegation.
The two sides discussed areas of scientific and academic cooperation between Iraqi and American universities and cultural exchange within the Fulbright Foreign Student Program and the Fulbright Visiting Scholar Program.
The Minister of Education stressed that the memoranda of understanding between the two countries provided a positive scientific climate for the development of joint expertise, skills, curricula, and specialized research, noting that hundreds of Iraqi students studying at American universities and who graduated from them were distributed through scholarships, fellowships, study leave, and private expense.
He explained that the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research is keen on international partnerships, keeping pace with scientific changes, adapting to challenges, and benefiting from advanced global experiences.
In turn, Mrs. Alina Romanowski expressed her thanks for the Iraqi academic institution’s keenness on cultural exchange, developing capabilities, and quoting indicators of development in international universities, especially American ones, pointing to the importance of joint coordination in light of the agreement and scientific and academic memoranda of understanding between the two countries.
