The Department of Chemistry Discusses a Master’s Thesis on Removing Water-Polluting Dyes Using a New Nano-polymer

Discussion of a Master’s Thesis

The Department of Chemistry at the College of Education for Pure Sciences discussed a master’s thesis for the student (Ali Fadel Abdullah), entitled (Removing water-polluting dyes using a new nano-polymer), on Sunday, 7/17/2022, under the supervision of Prof. Dr. (Mohammed Nazem Bahgat).
Where the prepared nano- copolymer was diagnosed by infrared spectroscopy (FT-IR), proton nuclear magnetic resonance (1H-NMR), and the particle size of the nanocopolymer was measured by atomic force microscopy (AFM) technique; It was found that the polymer tends to adsorb textile dyes (Active Yellow 145, Orange-G and Dispersion Red 1), from the aqueous solutions that were removed in this study. The discussion committee consisted of:
Prof. Dr. Hamida Idan Salman (President)
Prof. Dr. Dhafer supply horses (Member)
Asst. Prof. Dr. Sanaa Htoor Awwad is (Member)
Prof. Dr. Mohamed Nazem Bahgat (Member and Supervisor)
In conclusion, after an extensive scientific discussion and listening to the student’s defense of his message, his research method and his use of sources and references, the thesis was approved with a grade of (excellent). Congratulations to the student, his supervisor, and the Department of Chemistry for this achievement, to the University of Karbala, and to more creativity in the service of our beloved Iraq, the Iraq of science and scholars, and from God success and payment.
