Discussion of a Master’s Thesis

The Department of biology at the College of Education for Pure Sciences discussed the master’s thesis for the student (Mustafa Naim Abdel Wahid) entitled (Studying the effect of the drug Fluoxetine on the process of implantation of the blastocyst and some biochemical parameters in the blood serum of pregnant white rats), under the supervision of Assistant Prof. Dr. (Alaa Hussein Al-Safi). The thesis aimed to know the effects of fluoxetine on:
1. The implantation stage of the blastocyst on the seventh day of pregnancy.
2. Phenotypic changes of rat embryos at 18 days of gestation.
3. Levels of the hormones progesterone and estrogen in the blood serum of pregnant female rats.
4. Levels of AST, ALT, and ALP baseline phosphatase enzymes in the serum of pregnant rats.
After extensive discussion and the student’s defense of his message and research method, the thesis was accepted with distinction. Congratulations to the student and his supervisor and the College of Education for Pure Sciences for this achievement and the University of Karbala and more creativity in the service of our beloved Iraq, the Iraq of science and scholars, and from God Almighty success.
