The Dean Presents the Meeting of the Deans of the Faculties of Education in Diyala University

The participation of the Dean of the College in the Meeting of the Deans of the Faculties of Education

 

The Dean of the College of Education for Pure Sciences at the University of Karbala, the respected Professor Dr. Hamida Idan Salman, participated in the Committee of Deans of Colleges of Education in Iraqi Universities. The meeting is the eighth meeting on Thursday (2/6/2022), which was held at Diyala University with the participation of the deans of Iraqi colleges of education. The meeting included a vote to renew confidence for the Chairman of the Deans Committee, Prof. Nassif Al-Khafaji, and a discussion of a number of issues included in the meeting’s agenda. The meeting was attended by Prof. Abdel Moneim Abbas Karim, President of Diyala University, and Dr. Asmaa Kambash, a member of the Parliamentary Higher Education Committee. The respected Prof. Dr. (Hamida Idan Salman) was chosen as Vice-Chairman of the Deans Committee. During the meeting, the Chairman of the Committee, Prof. Dr. Nassif Jassim Muhammad Al-Khafaji, gave a speech in which he welcomed the deans of the faculties, stressing the need to consolidate the outputs of the faculties of education, and prepare a lecturer by correct preparation, so we will establish a conscious generation armed with values ​​and customs, and bearing the supreme patriotic spirit, indicating that the responsibility lies on the Faculties of Education, and that their mission is very large, and called on the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research to take care of faculties of education, and to consolidate national identity through the development of curricula that consolidate belonging and patriotism. The results of the meeting were the following:
1- The deans of the faculties of education voted by the majority to refuse to open education departments in private faculties due to the lack of appointments for graduates of governmental faculties of education, despite the large number of graduates.
2- Submitting a number of proposals to the Parliamentary Education Committee, including:
A – Demanding the central appointment of graduates of these colleges, even if it is 20% of the top in the departments.
B – Increasing financial allocations for the development of curricula and infrastructure for these colleges.
C – Retroactively disbursing the dues of professors for postgraduate studies and amending the funds’ instructions, especially those related to private expenditure wages.
