Higher Education Discusses the Scientific and Cultural Cooperation Programs with a Delegation from the American Cultural 

Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research discussed with a delegation from the American Cultural Attache a number of scientific and cultural cooperation programs. The visiting American delegation headed by Chancellor Daniel Ernst reviewed the proposed projects and the grant provided by the American government to Iraqi universities. During the meeting, which was held at the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research, represented by the advisor, Prof. Dr. Alaa Abdul Hassan, in the presence of a number of general managers and representatives of the relevant departments, the mechanism for implementing a grant was discussed. The US government, which included equipping a center for environmental research at the University of Basra, in addition to a grant for training in the field of English and supporting universities in the southern region to develop their research and scientific capabilities and laboratories.
