A study at the College of Education for Pure Sciences Discusses the Preparation and Diagnosis of a New Nano-Copolymer and its Ability to Inhibit the Spread of Breast Cancer.

Discussion of a Master’s Thesis

The Department of Chemistry, College of Education for Pure Sciences/University of Karbala, discussed a master’s thesis entitled (Preparation and diagnosis of a new nano-copolymer and the study of its ability to inhibit the spread of breast cancer), by student (Zainab Musa Shaker Al-Fatlawi), and under the supervision of Prof. Muhammad Nazim Bahgat. The aim of the thesis was the synthesis of other new drug polymers by cross-linking between the polymer and the drug, as well as the possibility of using other drugs to extend drug life and increase its efficacy, especially in chronic diseases that need to use a repeated daily dose and also to reduce toxicity and limit drug release at the specific patient site. The thesis showed that it is possible to study the nanoscale properties of some synthetic pharmaceutical polymers and their veterinary application fields. And the study of biological activity on a large scale and on the types of bacteria and fungi. The researcher recommended treating the defects of bitter-tasting drugs that are characterized by unpleasant odors or less water-soluble, characterizing and evaluating pharmaceutical polymers to obtain properties that facilitate their use for different therapeutic purposes.

The student received an excellence grade.
