Participation in a Training Course


Assistant Professor Dr. (Yarob Mudar Al-Qazwini) in the Department of Biology participated as a lecturer in a training course held by the College of Veterinary Medicine at the University of Karbala, in cooperation with the Veterinary Hospital in Holy Karbala, for a period of four days, entitled (Mummification). The objective of the course was to learn the method of mummification, as well as the scientific objectives of mummification, and to know how to choose the best animal for the mummification process, as well as to identify the materials involved in this process. During the training course, the process of embalming and how to choose and collect the models used in embalming in the correct manner was introduced, along with identifying the materials and tools used in this process or alternatives in the absence of basic materials. The process has been fully explained in theory and practice using birds as a model.
