Discussion of a Master’s Thesis

The Department of Life Sciences at the College of Education for Pure Sciences/University of Karbala discussed a master’s thesis entitled (The effect of some green nanoparticle compounds on some physiological characteristics of some dermatophytes), by Nidal Wahhab Hameed, and under the supervision of Prof. Dr. (Ban Taha Muhammad). The aim of the thesis was to convert the aqueous and alcoholic extracts of the mushroom Agaricus bisporus into hybrid nano-compounds represented by nano-zinc and nano-silver to inhibit the growth of the two pathogenic fungi Trichophyton rubrum and Microsporum canis, and to study their effect on the Serine protease gene.
Aand turning to converting the water and alcohol extracts into green nano extracts that enhance the medical role against the fungus and verify the resistance of the fungi to chemical treatments as well as being an environmentally friendly extract, and conducting several studies in The use of other nanomaterials to inhibit dermatophytes. The student received an honors grade.
