A Professor from the College of Education for Pure Sciences Publishes a Scientific Article on the Isolation and Diagnosis of some fungi that produce aflatoxin from dairy products available in the local markets

The teaching staff in the College of Education for Pure Sciences/Department of Life Sciences, Assistant Professor Dr. (Ban Musa Hassan) has accepted the publication of a scientific article tagged with the title (Isolation and identification of some fungi that produce afla toxin from dairy products available in the local markets) by the Scientific Articles Committee at the Presidency of the University Karbala after the article has fulfilled all publication conditions. And (Professor Dr. Ban Musa Hassan) mentioned that our health is a trust that is bestowed upon us by the Lord Almighty, so preserving it is a duty, and knowing the correct ways of eating and the sources of danger to it is a necessity. Fungi are one of the most important problems facing us at the present time because they are widespread everywhere in nature, whether in food, water, agricultural crops and animal products that are an integral part of human food. They pose a threat to human health as a result of consuming toxins produced by some Fungi through the food chain, and given the importance of milk and its products as an animal product eaten by adults and children, where milk is the closest food to perfection with its cheap price and importance as food and containing all the amino acids necessary for building the body. Milk contains about 10,000 different substances, many of which are still unknown. Its usefulness in strengthening the immune system in our bodies against microbes because it contains substances that help the body create the immune system in newborns. The problem of contamination of raw milk with fungi is common, especially fungi that produce aflatoxins. These compounds cause liver cancer, necrosis, infiltration of the dermis, abnormalities of the digestive system, and dysfunction in the vital processes of the human body. The growth of fungi in milk and dairy products did not represent a serious health problem until after the discovery of mycotoxins, which began in the forties of the last century, the presence of fungi became a major threat to human health.
