The Dean of the College of Education for Pure Sciences chairs the discussion committee for a master’s thesis in the Department of Chemistry

Master thesis discussion

The Department of Chemistry at the College of Education for Pure Sciences / University of Karbala discussed a master’s thesis entitled (Preparing a new nano-co-polymer and using it as a drug transport system) for student (Amal Falih Hasan), on Wednesday 12/16/2020, and in the discussion room of the Chemistry Department. The committee was chaired by the Dean of the College of Education for Pure Sciences, Prof. Hamida Idan Salman the respected and supervised by Prof. Muhammad Nazim Bahjat from the College of Education for Pure Sciences / University of Karbala, and Prof. Muhannad Musa Karim from the Faculty of Sciences, University of Babylon, and the goal of the thesis was to prepare a new nanocomposite and diagnose it with IR, HNMR, AFM, XRD, DSC, and TEM techniques, and to manufacture two lines that include the formation of a co-nanopolymer – a drug through its interaction with some drugs such as (Amoxylin Ampicillin, Phenamic Acid, Ceflaxin, Ciprofloxacin, Pseudoephedrine, and Amino-Antipyrine) and diagnosed with IR, HNM technology and studying some physical properties such as solubility, swelling, liberation, biological activity (breast cancer). Measured by using TEM, XRD, AFM measurements. And loading the drug albums at different pHs (2.2, 7.0, 8.0) and also releasing the drug with different pHs and measuring it using ultraviolet rays. The letter has been accepted by the discussion committee.
