College foundation The College of Education for Pure Sciences was established in the academic year 1996/1997 and the Department of Life Sciences was the first department to be opened for morning studies only, and both the mathematics and chemistry departments were opened in the 2007/2008 academic year, where the total number of students graduating from morning studies until the 2011 academic year – 2012 reached (1318) male and female students, and evening study graduates reached (452) male and female students, and the Physics Department was created in the 2015/2016 academic year for morning study only.
College vision Work on imparting knowledge in the scientific and educational fields that would provide service to society and prepare the educational staff to achieve comprehensive human development for the members of the Iraqi society, provided that it is continuous with the world.
