Hussein Al-Dahmoushi from the College of Science, University of Babylon.participated the assistant teacher (Acer Ashour Khalaf), teaching at the College of Education for Pure Sciences – Department of Life Sciences in the video workshop that was held through the Zoom program entitled: “COVID-19 Patients Screening using Zybio SARS-COV-2 Rapid test ”. The workshop included a scientific lecture given by Professor Jess of the Chinese company Zibayo, one of the companies that contributed to containing the crisis of COVID-19 in Wuhan, where he talked about the techniques of REAL TIME PCR and the RAPID TEST, which are used to investigate SARS-CoV2 virus and what are the required clinical samples and the pros and cons of each method. Where Professor Jess touched on a very important topic, which is when the result of the REAL TIME PCR examination is negative, there are two possibilities, one of which is that the suspect is healthy and the other possibility that the result is a negative result is a problem in how to take and deal with the sample, and here the RAPID test should be conducted as an examination Immunotherapy to confirm the absence of infection. He also touched on the benefit of this examination in determining the approximate time of infection until it was clear that IgM antibodies formed after 5 to 7 days of the virus incubation period, while IgG type formed after 7 days of IgM formation and may continue to 42 days. As he explained, it is easy to take a sample of RAPID TEST, which is the serum, plasma, or blood sample directly. It is worth noting that it takes only 10 minutes to perform the RAPID TEST examination and can be used for Screening Detection before a REAL TIME PCR examination or as a confirmatory examination in REAL TIME PCR negative cases. The number of participants in the session reached 46 participants from different disciplines in the colleges of science, medicine, dentistry, nursing, pharmacy, pathological analyzes, veterinary medicine and education for pure sciences from 10 Iraqi universities. The lecture lasted one hour, followed by answering the participants ’questions. The teacher (M. Acer Ashour Khalaf) obtained a certificate of participation in the workshop mentioned.
